David solders the steel rebar to the window after the exacting process of bending each bar to conform to an existing lead line.
After the rebar has been securely welded to the surface of the window, the entire window is masked off in order to spray paint the rebar black to minimize its appearance. The steel bar gives the panel its intrinsic strength and is an essential element in the installation plan as well.
