The
background colors for this window were achieved
by the application of several layers of fire-on
enamels for glass.The black Hebrew letters were
painted and fired also, while the single word, "Echad"
was rendered with gold leaf.
The
gold letters on the doors of the Aron were first
painted and fired with actual gold and then gold
leafed.
